After the worldwide premiere of ‘New Slaves’ last night, Kanye West makes his way to Saturday Night Live by premiering another new song titled ‘Black Skinhead’. Doesn’t take a genius to see what direction Kanye is going for his new album. Just know when it does drop, it’ll be controversial for sure. The audio for this video isn’t the best (and it doesn’t help that he’s screaming for his life) so I wouldn’t make a final decision on this until the MP3 drops. Yeezus coming on June 18th.
Westcoast representative Nipsey Hustle is back from his hiatus with a brand new track. Through Twitter, Nipsey informed his fans that he will leak a new track for every 2k followers he gets until his highly anticipated project, Victory Lap, is released later this year. AyeLogics and Yo! X pay their respect to Gary Payton, who is best known for his time with Seattle’s SuperSonics, on this new banger titled ‘The Glove’. This will serve as the first leak from the Las Vegas artist’s upcoming IllChris project which is set to drop some time this summer. Juicy J said that the video was coming soon but we didn’t know it’d be that soon. After dropping the audio for this track yesterday, Juicy J returns this morning with the official visuals to accompany the braggadocious rap. Great to see Juicy still feeding the streets while he’s on his first solo headlining national tour with A$AP Ferg. The energetic, impressive single from K. Roosevelt that originally appeared on his solo effort, RoseGold, but later reappeared on Hit-Boy’s HS87 compilation mixtape, All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of, gets the visual treatment. Kanye decided to be unique by debuting his new track and video called “New Slaves” via giant projections on 66 buildings across the globe. Complex is currently at the Williamsburg, Brooklyn location which they were able to capture this preview for everyone who couldn’t make it out to one of the 66 locations. Could this be the new song that Kanye West was planning to drop on June 18th? Possibly. For now, this is the best we’ll get until that date.
Westcoast’s IAMSU! just took to Twitter to reveal the artwork cover for his next full length release, Kilt 2. He has previously stated that the music on $uzy 6 $peed was strictly tunes to turn up to and that this upcoming tape will show people that he can make more than just function music. I’m not sure if we have heard anything yet that will be featured on the upcoming tape but if not, expect Suzy to drop something new very soon. The tape is set to drop in its entirety on June 6th. Not only was 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa blessed enough to be tapped for the soundtrack to the upcoming Fast & Furious movie, they compile footage from previous movies to put together the visuals for this record. The video starts off with Letty and Dom about to race and a cameo from Rita Ora’s fine ass before old footage begins to show even though neither 2 Chainz or Wiz appear in the actual video. Movie hits theaters everywhere May 24th.
Hassani Kwess takes us back to his 2012 release, Ruthless, to give us the official visual treatment to his Chuck Inglish produced track, ‘Kick The Bass, Chuck’. Kwess airs off with his vicious flow and intricate bars and doesn’t cease until the beat cuts off. Originally shot late 2011, he decided to hold off on releasing the video for reasons unknown until today. Lookout for his next full length release, The Kwess Never Sleeps, dropping this summer.
After dropping the new single back in March of this year, Fat Joe returns with the official video for ‘Ballin’ featuring guest appearances from Taylor Gang’s general, Wiz Khalifa, and G.O.O.D. Music’s first lady, Teyana Taylor. Yep, this beat does sound familiar because producer Illa sampled and looped Nas’ ‘Hero’ instrumental. Given that the title of the track is ‘Ballin’, expect to see a lot of flexing in this Eif Rivera-directed video.
