Looking at how much fans really enjoyed the live rendition of “Objects In The Mirror“, Mac Miller gets back with The Internet to perform his Flying Lotus produced single, “S.D.S.”, off his upcoming album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off. He’ll be hitting the road with them late next month for The Space Migration Tour. You can check here for tour dates and tickets.
Suzy puts his Heart Break Gang on his back for the first single off his upcoming mixtape, KILT 2. This track is titled “Rep That Gang” and is produced by P-Lo of The Invasion. We were accustom to hearing IAMSU rapping over his own beats for the majority of $uzy 6 $peed, but it looks like he’s taking a backseat for KILT 2, which should be interesting. Lookout for the full tape to drop on June 6th.
After dropping linking up with IAMSU! for a mixtape and then dropping his own earlier this month, Problem returns to drop his new single, “Say That Then”, which is the first offering off his Gangsta Grillz mixtape, The Separation. That tape is set to drop June 13th and with 3 full length tapes in half a year, looks like Problem isn’t playing at all this year.
We don’t usually post electro pop music on here, but this song was just too dope to pass. Capital Cities is gearing up to drop their album In a Tidal Wave of Mystery on June 4 via Capitol/Universal Records. Today, they release their new track “Farrah Fawcett Hair” which includes a super rare feature from André 3000 and is also narrated by Frank Tavares of NPR. This is the perfect song to kick off your weekend. Listen above and pre-order their new album here. Doobies to Complex.
Fresh off the release of their new mixtape Transformers N The Hood II, FKi decided that the video for “Cut The World” by Anthony and the Johnsons fit their song a lot better. I definitely agree with them. Something as intense as that video needs a more suspenseful song like this. Check out the video above.
After debuting his “Kidnap” track earlier this week featuring Pro Club’s B. Way, South Florida’s F. Fortune returns with the full release of his new instrumental project, Beautiful Nightmare EP. I’m rocking with “Beautiful Nightmare” the most and the “ThreeThirdyThree AM” beat is too nice because of how dope Drake’s sampled vocals was used. The whole EP is worth checking out so do yourself a favor and stream/download the 6-track project below.
And just like that, J. Cole ends the night with what is reported as the second single from his sophomore album. If this shit wasn’t hot enough already, he even pays homage to Biggie with the “Notorious Thugs” flow in the beginning. This is interesting for a second single given that it’s the extreme opposite of his “Power Trip” single. Born Sinner will be going head to head against Mac Miller and Kanye West for the #1 spot on the charts on June 18th.
Ro Ransom is on a tear right now. After dropping two tracks just this past week, Young Coyote is back with new visuals for his take over an Aaliyah classic on “Ebony & Ivory”. If you thought Ro Ransom killed it on “Lesbian Girl“, another track over a flipped Aaliyah beat, you’ll love this one. The references on this one are just too dope. Like the wrestling/anime fanatic said, Ro Ransom Is The Future is coming soon.
The amount of music that has dropped today has been great so far and now Chicago’s Vic Mensa looks to keep the ball rolling with a new release. Right before he hits the stage later tonight alongside his Save Money crew for the Gunplay show in Chicago, Vic treats us to the official video for his track, “Orange Soda”. We got a first listen when this appeared on Bootleg Kev’s recently released mixtape under the name “Orange Juice”. And what would a song dedicated to orange soda be without a Keenan & Kel sample? Classic. Drink up. INNANETAPE coming soon.
Nemo Achida took to Twitter today to unleash this bombshell of a track titled “Slave To The Wave” that is produced by fast, rising up and comer Childish Major, who is mostly known for producing ‘UOENO’ for Rocko. This will serve as the opening track to his next full length effort and this shit bangs. Get ready because we’re definitely looking forward to Midnight Music dropping on July 2nd.
