Uncut Diamondz drops off a brand new single titled ‘E.T.’ off his upcoming debut solo mixtape, Tha Uncut Version. The South Florida artist reflects on life and flows effortlessly over some spacey, eerie but smooth production. This is a great first offering from the up and coming artist and so far, there’s no word on when the tape is expected to drop but I can’t wait to hear the final product.
While out in the Westcoast, newest signee to Def Jam and leader of the RattPack, Logic, sat down with Rikki Martinez to discuss life as a XXL Freshman, meeting Nas, and his goal to become one of the best to ever grab a mic and rap. Big K.R.I.T. just dropped some dates for his mini-Westcoast Tour to promote his newly released mixtape, King Remembered In Time. He will be accompanied by Smoke DZA, who will be opening up for all 8 dates. This is great news for the Westcoast fans but you already know all the Eastcoast fans are disappointed. Either way, I’m sure it’ll be a great show so if you see your city on there, make sure you get your tickets before they sell out.

I admit over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been slacking on the submissions but I finally got a chance to get back on it. As part of our freestyle contest (which is still going on), Verbal Van Gogh from Charlotte tackles the ‘S.O.S.’ instrumental produced by BanksOnTheBeat. This freestyle was pretty dope. Definitely going to have to check out his Fema Fresh II: 33rd Degree tape some time this week.
After premiering the video for the first official single from his upcoming project a little over a week ago, Vic Mensa returns to bless his fans with the MP3 download of his song, ‘Did It B4′. Side note: Mensa has announced a week and a couple days ago that the Chicago band, Kids These Days, has made an amicable decision to disband. Sad news, but let’s be thankful for all the music they’ve given us over the years. You can also check out some of Mensa’s latest raps on their final project release, Traphouse Rock.
