Possible 2013 XXL Freshman is back with his full length LP, Life Changes. Casey Veggies has stated that this project is not a mixtape but more of a free album. Besides the track “Life$tyle” that he put out, the rest is all brand new unheard material. Featuring Harry Fraud, Dom Kennedy, BJ the Chicago Kid, 1500 or Nothin, Cardiak and The Futuristiks, this project definitely looks promising. Download/stream the free album for yourself.

Cover Tis the fucking season, and the creatively inclined members of the hip-hop community have been rolling out some enthused projects for your spinning pleasure during the festive winter season. Next on the roster of noteworthy holiday compilations is A Different Kind of Christmas, a multi-artists studio effort that features names like B. Stille of The Nappy Roots, Jerome “Bigfoot” Brailey of  Parliament Funkadelic, and former Prince and now Snoop Dogg collaborators Audio Stepchild among many, many others. Although Jonathan Hay has production all over the project, other instrumentals come from Andre Young, Terrance Simpkins, Josh Tifer, Grandmaster Roc Raida of the X-Ecutioners, and Vahaghi. Oh, and lets not forget featured mixing by the likes of Trakksounds.  More after the jump.

Complete with 10 tracks over original production, they grab guest features from Rich Kidd, Diz Gibran, Yancy Deron and Richie Sosa. The tape also includes production credit from Like of Pac Div, one of my favorite groups on the Westside. Some of my favorite tracks on this tape are “Casserine”, “Chinese Swag” and “Daydreamer’s Theme”. Roll up and check out the tape for yourself.

Pac Div – GMB [Album Stream]

Posted by & filed under Albums, Featured. Leave a comment

After releasing a slew of dope singles in the past couple of weeks, Westcoast’s Mibbs, Like and Be Young known collectively as Pac Div return with their new LP, GMB, yesterday. I haven’t personally listened to the full album yet besides the tracks that they leaked themselves, but from what I heard from friends, the album slaps just as much as their last album The Div. I’ve added a album stream uploaded by one of our Chiefers for your listening pleasure.  The album includes features from Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Blu and more.  And if you’re fuckin’ with it, head over to iTunes and cop the album with their grandma donned on the cover.

Action Bronson & The Alchemist – Rare Chandeliers [Album]

Posted by & filed under Albums, Mixtapes. Leave a comment

What I would consider one of the greatest cover art’s of the year, it’s only right that the Queens rapper/chef Action Bronson & the quirky producer by way of The Alchemist come together to create a free project for the masses. The 14-track project includes features from ScHoolboy Q, Styles P & Roc Marciano among others. The tape is sponsored by the site Noisey, and they were able to do a little write up on the tape so check that out if you’ve got some free time. Roll Up & Enjoy the tunes my fellow Chiefers.
