With singles and live performance teases coming from his upcoming project theredtape, Tampa emcee/producer Gatsby somehow snuck in an instrumental release titled elephantgraveyards. The fresh release will feature two new tracks, two released tracks that previously included vocals, two updated tracks, and a remix. The surprise release is a departure from standard hip-hop parameters that sits somewhere between what you might expect from Flying Lotus or a dark Cudi project, yet still maintains all the signature synths and creative, non-linear movements that we have come to expect from Gatsby. Although it’s not set to officially drop until tomorrow, we have the exclusive stream here for you today.
Rel.b dropped the It’s Not Bragging mixtape late last year, and now offers the third visual accompanyment via “The Wave” featuring QuEST. Rel has given us the exclusive drop and an interview talking about the collaborations that went into making “The Waves” happen. Check it after the jump. (more…)

This is what you’ve all been waiting for…the follow up project to Chance The Rapper’s amazing debut release, 10 Day, is finally here and available for the masses. Chicago has exploded onto the scene in the last year due to Chief Keef’s popularity but that didn’t come without criticism especially given the content and message of his music. Unlike Keef, Chance’s music doesn’t follow that same route. Besides being inspired by acid jazz last summer, Chance stated that he was on acid for most of the sessions during the recording process hence why this project is called what it is. Don’t sleep on Chance. This is definitely on track to be one of the best releases of 2013.
Over here at Daily Chiefers, our goal has always been to deliver the latest music and introduce you to new talent. In this new internet era, it gets hard to discover new talent because there just so much content online these days. That’s why we set up this new freestyle contest that will make the finding new talent process a lot easier for us and help up and coming artists get their music out there to a big audience. So if you’re an upcoming artist who have been emailing us your music to no luck or trying to get noticed, here’s your chance to get featured on our website. Hit the jump for more details. (more…)
After catching Steve Aoki’s attention with the release of Prodigal Son last year which ultimately led to Will Brennan getting signed to Dim Mak, they have revamped and remastered the album for an official re-release on iTunes. This also follows the success of his “RNR” single which got remixed by a couple DJs and released as an EP under Dim Mak on iTunes last month. Make sure you support the South Florida artist and our good friend Will Brennan and purchase his new album now. If you’ve never heard of Will Brennan, I’ve also included a link where you can stream the project in its entirety before you buy it. New music coming soon in the very near future.
