Uno Hype follows up last year’s successful project Fxck The Hype with DJ Black Diamond with this brand new mixtape titled Be Good. The release was supported by strong singles like ‘The Kickback’ featuring Smoke DZA and ‘R.E.M’, which also dropped last year. I enjoyed his last project a lot so this was definitely near the top of my list of most anticipated projects of 2013. Don’t sleep on the up and coming DMV artist. Hopefully he has some visuals coming soon. In addition to DZA, the only other guest feature comes from Hassani Kwess with production help coming from DJ Black Diamond, DJ Dahi, Brandun Deshay and more. Stream/download the tape below.
Exactly a year after the release of the first Good Sense mixtape, Roddy returns with the sequel and it isn’t an April Fools joke. The tape includes features from Trademark, Spitta, Styles P, Smoke DZA & 3D Na’Tee. Stream/download link below.

The first full length drop off of Gatsby’s next project theredtape features Tampa’s very own Scott Aye. The self-produced “Crowns” track is the newest offering from the West Egg camp since the award winning mixtape thebluetape circulated late last year. Haunting pianos, signature synths, and hard hitting bars from Gat and Aye connect on this statement track that serves as a benchmark for where the West Egg affiliated and the Tampa hip-hop scene are heading. Look for the highly anticipated follow up tape to drop in the Summer, but a few more singles and visuals will come our way in the mean time.

It’s been a crazy ride in the past two years for Nike Nando. At one point, he even questioned himself if putting out music was still something he wanted to continue doing. Now with a re-energized passion and drive, he’ll be returning from over two year gap since the release of his last mixtape, Love Day. So before the release of his new mixtape SprdLv later tonight, I got a chance to chop it up with the rising DMV artist about a couple things that led to the creation of this project. It’s been over a year since Habits & Contradictions has blessed our iTunes library. I’d say it’s about time we heard something confirmed for ScHoolBoy Q’s major label debut album, Oxymoron. Here’s a new Boi-1da produced cut from Quincy titled ‘Yay Yay’. This is the type of shit I like to hear from Q. That gritty, hard sound accompanied with his drugged out lyrics. Puffy isn’t playing around this year. Look out for the album to drop later this year.
