The highly anticipated follow up mixtape to Driving 88 is finally here. Electric Highway will serve as the first release since signing with MMG last summer. For the tape, which is executive produced by Fresh and his Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross, it features guest appearances Ross, Nipsey Hussle, Lunice, Sasha Go Hard and Curren$y. Production comes courtesy of The Gift, Quincey Tones, Boi-1da, Big Jerm, JD Walker and more. I’ve been waiting for this since it was announced especially since his last tape bumps so hard. Both the original Lap of Lux and 1.5 are avaialble now so download them if you haven’t already. Both of them got great bangers.

Awhile ago, it was reported that Frank Ocean’s record, “Pink Matter”, was suppose to feature both Andre 3000 and Big Boi but ultimately ended up just being Andre 3000 because he didn’t want an Outkast reunion to happen on someone else’s record. Well, that didn’t stop Big Boi from recording his verse and adding onto it.
On January 3rd, Curren$y stopped by SOBs and performed almost an hour long set infront of a sold out New York crowd. As he runs down the list of some of his best throwback joints like “Elevator Musik” all the way to his new shit, he also brings out his homies Stalley, Styles P, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA, Lupe Fiasco & Mickey Factz out to help him out throughout his set.
Juicy J got in the booth, recorded this hot new smoking joint featuring Wiz Khalifa on the hook, mixed it and put it out on Twitter all in one night. Definitely the right way to start the new day. Juicy J’s debut album is set to drop early this year.
You know I’m not a big fan of Lil Wayne, but I’ll give him when credit is due, and this shit is a banger. This is the first official single from Wayne’s upcoming I Am Not A Human Being 2 album that has been rumored to be dropping for awhile. Yeah, this is definitely getting infinite radio spins.
Over a low tempo Pimp C sampled Sledgren produced beat, King Chip slides through on this new track with his usual swag bars. King Chip has been pumping out a lot of dope verses lately especially the feature he dropped on Game’s Jesus Piece album. CLEVELAFORNIA is easily sitting at the top of my list as “Most Anticipated Projects of 2013″ already.
Wale follows up his Ambition album that dropped over a year ago with his new mixtape, Folarin, just in time for Christmas. “I made #folarin for fans,” wrote Wale on his Twitter. “It’s inspired by all my tapes and albums … This is a FAN inspired project.. The album will be for me.” He also stated that this is for his “100 Miles” fans since he’s been criticized over the year for changing his sound ever since he’s signed to MMG. Folarin is Wale’s last name and will serve as the only thing he has put out by himself aside from MMG’s second album. The project includes guest features from Rick Ross, Nipsey Hu$$le, Trinidad Jame$, Jhene Aiko, French Montana, Hit-Boy and more. Stream and download link below.
