Chance calls into Elliott Wilson’s Keep It Thoro show to talk about the success of Acid Rap.  The tape has been out for less than a week and people are already calling the tape ‘Mixtape Of The Year’.  Based on the interview, you can tell Chance is a very humble artist and has his head in the right place when it comes to the hip-hop game.  In addition, he also talks about not being selected for this year’s XXL Freshmen cover, the importance of performing, perfoming in his city for Lollapalooza, R. This interview was so long and has so much dope material, they had to have two separate videos for this. Big K.R.I.T. Speaks On “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” [Video]

Big K.R.I.T.’s “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” (off his Live From the Underground album) is a deeply personal record. In the song, K.R.I.T. shares some of the many jewels his father dropped on him as a kid and how that shaped him as a man. For the video to the song, K.R.I.T. went even deeper. He took us on an inside journey to some of the most significant places in his hometown of Meridian, MS. We caught up with K.R.I.T. and he gave us a candid and detailed account of both the meaning of the song and the significance of each of the images featured in the video.
