Tim Larew sits down with Chance The Rapper during his stop in Boston for a show a couple days ago to talk about a couple things.
In the interview, Chance discusses what life’s been like since #10Day, the amazing reception to his two recent releases (“Juice” and “Acid Rain”), his work with video director Austin Vesely, the roles Chicago blogs Ruby Hornet and Fake Shore Drive have played in his success, and of course, what fans can expect from the April release of Acid Rap.
Chance The Rapper is one to keep an eye on this year. He’s one of the dopest coming out of Chicago right now who is making drill/hype music. For someone who made a name for himself off a tape that only took 10 days to complete, I can’t imagine how dope his next project is going to be since he’s taking his time. Doobies to The Fresh Heir for the interview.
King Chip sits down with The Good Guys for this extensive interview talking about what he’s been up to, advice for upcoming rappers, the difference between California and Cleveland, doing whatever makes sense when asked if he wants to go major or stay independent and more. Clevelafornia coming soon. Doobies to DJ Steph Floss.
In this new episode of GGN with Snoop Dogg AKA Nemo Hoes, today’s special guest Big Sean drops by to talk about his career, upcoming projects and how to smoke out a hotel room like a professional. Big Sean’s sophomore album, Hall Of Fame, coming soon. Detroit out now.
Kanye West ended his no interview rule and called into Hot 97 earlier tonight and spoke to DJ Enuff about the controversial MTV’s ‘Hottest MC’s In The Game’ list. He gives his opinion on MTV naming him #7 this year, where he feels Big Sean and Lil Wayne should be ranked, and more. Surprisingly, he throws a shot at Sway at the end of the interview before he hangs up abruptly. I’m crying real tears on laughter right now.
Joey Bada$$, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Dyemond Lewis and CJ Fly of NY’s PRO ERA drop an exclusive freestyle for Billboard. The video was listed as Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era, but I had to give each rapper the proper recognition because they all killed it. Also below, I added the Billboard interview with Joey where he talks about being named creative director of Ecko Unltd, being independent, the new New York movement and more.
Coke Boys’ front man French Montana stops by Power 105.1 for an interview with The Breakfast Club. He speaks on moving here from Africa with his mother as a kid but reunited with him recently, squashing the beef with 50, not including Max B on his album but will still be giving a percentage of the album sales to his family, and he was also asked by Charlemagne why he can’t hold a single by himself and more. Watch the interview above. Excuse My French hit stores May 21st.
