Fresh off inking a deal with Sony/Epic Records, Gilbere Forte is back today with his brand new Pray EP. This tape holds 10 tracks and serves as the final chapter to his trilogy of projects that includes past releases 87 Dreams and Eyes Of Veritas. The tape stays light on the guest appearances which include features from Active Child, Nylo and De Carlo. Stream/download the new tape below.
If you’re looking for some good, new R&B music, look no further than Westcoast and OpM’s very own Zeke who recently dropped his new project, 2090. You might remember Zeke from the couple appearances he made on the Young Nation: Volume 1 mixtape. “Talk About It”, a track that appeared on Young Nation that features Dom Kennedy also makes an appearance on 2090. The tape is real smooth and is great to let ride out on chill days. Take a listen to the new tape below.
Led by T.I., Hustle Gang is looking to showcase their roster of artists by dropping this new compilation mixtape, G.D.O.D., which stands for Get Dough Or Die. You can download/stream the tape below.
Fresh off the success he’s seen since being announced as a freshman of this year’s XXL Freshmen Class of 2013, Logic looks to keep the momentum going by delivering a full length mixtape titled Welcome To Forever. This will serve as the final mixtape before he starts prepping for his debut album under Def Jam that will be produced by No ID. This tape holds 20 track with features and production from the likes of Dizzy Wright, Trinidad Jame$, Key Wane, Don Cannon, Jhene Aiko, No I.D., and more. Download/stream below.
XXL release the official mix (not a mixtape since it’s one long audio) for the 2013 XXL Freshmen Class sans Chief Keef. The mix is hosted by DJ Drama and features excluisve, unheard music and recently released music from the whole class which include Joey Bada$$, Trinidad Jame$, Ab-Soul, ScHoolBoy Q, Logic, Travi$ Scott, Angel Haze, Action Bronson, Kirko Bangz and Dizzy Wright. This is tight especially with the exclusives and all, but honestly what we all need is a download for an untagged version of every exclusive.

Taylor Gang’s two main in-house producers, Sledgren and Cardo, dropped this new instrumental project titled Missed Flights that include six instrumentals for the fans. Up and coming rappers will definitely enjoy this because now they can drop their own raps on these new beats and fans will love to vibe out and smoke to this. You can stream/download the project after the jump. (more…)
Yesterday was one of the best days in music with new release coming from Chance The Rapper, J. Cole, and a lot more. One that seem to slip past our radar (and I don’t know why) was Scott ATL’s brand new mixtape, F.A.I.T.H., which stands for Forever Atlanta In The Heart. The whole project is produced by DJ Burn One who also resides in Atlanta. Guest features come from fellow Atlanta artists Trinidad Jame$ and Curtis Williams, Le$, Big K.R.I.T. and much more. Stream/download the tape below.
Niko G4 of Dom Kennedy’s OpM label provides some new tunes to ride out to with the release of his first release of the new year, Roll The Dice. It’s also a special day for Niko G4 because it happens to be his birthday today so hit him with a Happy G Day on Twitter if you’re a fan. For this tape, he stays completely Westcoast with the features from the likes of Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, Skeme, and Jay 305. Stream/download the tape below.
This is what you’ve all been waiting for…the follow up project to Chance The Rapper’s amazing debut release, 10 Day, is finally here and available for the masses. Chicago has exploded onto the scene in the last year due to Chief Keef’s popularity but that didn’t come without criticism especially given the content and message of his music. Unlike Keef, Chance’s music doesn’t follow that same route. Besides being inspired by acid jazz last summer, Chance stated that he was on acid for most of the sessions during the recording process hence why this project is called what it is. Don’t sleep on Chance. This is definitely on track to be one of the best releases of 2013.
Even though he dropped Electric Highway in January to start off the new year, Rockie Fresh wanted to celebrate his birthday correctly with his fans by giving us another brand new tape to bump to in The Birthday Tape. I wouldn’t call this a full length mixtape but more of an EP. The Chicago artist grabbed guest features from Rick Ross & Gunplay. On the production side, he gets help from Lunice, Dot Da Genius & more. Stream/download link provided below.
