Sampling Gotye’s hit single from last year, YP and BJ The Chicago Kid give their weed inspired take over the instrumental for the very first installment of ‘Redeye Tracks’. Read what they had to say below:
YP and BJ are very mean people. We say that because they’ve been sitting on this undeniable summer heater for awhile now and weren’t going to share with the rest of the class. Lucky for us, they let RedEye premiere it as part of our new video series ‘RedEye Tracks’.
YP’s next full length drop, Restless, drops some time this summer. Chances are that is where this track will most likely end up.
The self titled track on Mac Miller’s sophomore effort gets the visual treatment. Of all his videos, I would say this is a bit different from what we’re use to. His album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, hits stores everywhere on Tuesday. Make sure you support Kanye, Mac Miller, J. Cole or all three on June 18th as their albums all drop on the same day. Watch the Rex Arrow & Larry Fisherman-directed video above.
For Big K.R.I.T.’s latest video, he delivers some visuals for his track “Bigger Picture” which can be found on his recently released mixtape, King Remembered In Time. Check out the Marc Ecko-directed visuals above. Doobies to Complex for the video premier.
If you aren’t familiar with Chicago’s Spenzo yet, let this new video be his first impression on you. As much as I love Chicago music, it isn’t all about trap and drill music. Delve deeper into the city, and you’ll find young, fresh, up and coming talent like Spenzo. In under a month, this marks the third video Spenzo has dropped and he doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. Look out for his In Spenzo We Trust mixtape to drop on July 15th.
Fiend rolls around in his old-school Cutlass in his brand new video for “Lil Sumptin” which features MouseOnTheTrack off his recently released mixtape, Lil Ghetto Boy. Smoke one and check out the new Craigo-directed Jet Life visual above.
Mibbs of Pac Div looks to kick-start his new career direction by dropping the first offering from his first upcoming solo project, FreeBass. The project will be a short EP and will hold 5 tracks from the Westcoast artist with this Scoop Deville produced banger being the lead single. The EP is set to drop June 18th, which is next Tuesday. Watch the Jayson Fox-directed video above.
Suzy takes it to the desert for the latest visuals for the first single off his recently released mixtape, Kilt 2. Riding high off the success of it, this video couldn’t have come at a better time. Watch the HBKGADGET-directed video above.
Here’s a brand new video from Trae Tha Truth off his February released compilation mixtape, All-Star 2013: Take Flight. With the King Of The Streets looking like he’s not slowing down anytime soon given how many videos he has put out in the past couple of months, one can assume that he’s close to wrapping up his anticipated project, Banned. Expect that to drop in the very near future.
Roddy links up with Jet Life’s go to video guy, CJ Wallis, to shoot the third set of visuals for his “504 Radio” track with 3D Na’Tee from his latest mixtape. As I always said before, props to Roddy for giving a young up and coming female rapper some shine. Good Sense 2 is out now. Watch the Forty FPS-directed video above.
