A$AP Ferg might not be the most lyrical rapper coming up in the game right now (but who is these days) and I rarely play this song whenever I listen to the A$AP Mob compilation mixtape Lord$ Never Worry, but truth be told, his videos are always tight. He directed this video himself along with Thuan Tran. Crazy how he built this crazy buzz for himself with “Work” and still has yet to drop a full length solo project. Definitely looking forward to hearing that Trap Lord when it drops in the very near future, word to Ferg.

Big K.R.I.T. Speaks On “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” [Video]
Big K.R.I.T.’s “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” (off his Live From the Underground album) is a deeply personal record. In the song, K.R.I.T. shares some of the many jewels his father dropped on him as a kid and how that shaped him as a man. For the video to the song, K.R.I.T. went even deeper. We caught up with K.R.I.T. and he gave us a candid and detailed account of both the meaning of the song and the significance of each of the images featured in the video.

Thelonious Martin – Far Away [Video]
One of Chicago’s most promising producers Thelo Martin links up with Bradley Murray to deliver this fresh new video off his recently released instrumental album, From Me To You. Read what Murray had to say about the video below. Doobies to FSD.
“Did you listen to it in the car? was the first thing Thelonius asked me before we began our video shoot for the day. “Hell yeah I listened to it in the car.” He hopped in the car and quickly plugged up his laptop to my car stereo. With one simple listen he taps the equalizer nob and starts adjusting. Usually I don’t like anyone touching my radio ESPECIALLY my levels. But this was a special occasion as he effortlessly created instrumental after instrumental while in the passenger seat. We talked about his style and his J-Dilla esque technique. The great thing about inspiration is that it births inspiration. Its like a domino effect or where you pass it on after you gather your influence’s and throw your own dirt on histories pavement.”
